'You Think You Needn'T Be Forgiven' Poem by Linda Winchell

'You Think You Needn'T Be Forgiven'

When your ego tells you this
That, ”I needn’t be forgiven.”
You are only walking down that road to Hell
To where your sin now was sadly driven.

Forgiveness is the only way
To God’s Kingdom, that’s for sure.
Cleansing yourself in Jesus blood
The pain of Crucifixion
He for us did endure.

Your ego only holds you back
From the reward yet to come.
However many will be left behind
Who thought they didn’t need
The forgiveness of God’s Son.
