You'Ve Gone Away Poem by Madeleine Wolf

You'Ve Gone Away

You’ve gone away
Made it clear we’re done.
What else can I say?
On my heart it starts to weigh.

I’ve begun to grieve
Because you’re no longer there.
I can feel the love in me leave
As I become cold.

You’ve gone away
Made it clear we’re done.
What else can I say?
On my heart it starts to weigh.

I try to forget
Yet my eyes stay wet.
I don’t want to remember
Because my heart is tender.

You’ve gone away
Made it clear we’re done.
What else can I say?
On my heart it starts to weigh.

I’ve lost you,
So what else can I do?
All I can do is pray
That we’ll meet again someday.

Still, I feel my heart
Has started to decay.
It’s been ripped apart,
And I’m left with nothing to say.
