You'Ve Got To Hide Your Gay Away Poem by Ramona Thompson

You'Ve Got To Hide Your Gay Away

Dark rewrite of The Beatle's classic You've Got To Hide Your Love Away

Here we stand hand in hand
Turn our faces to the wall
If our love is wrong then we don't wanna be right
Always made to feel no more then two feet small
Everywhere people glare
Each and every day
We can see them ranting at us
And later we can hear them say

Hey you've got to hide your gay away
Hey you've got to hide your gay away

How can we even try?
When we never win
Hearing them, seeing them
Poking such cruel fun at the state of love that we're in
How can we ever hope to believe?
Love will find a way
As they rant once more together
Gather together you f...s
So that you sinners can hear us say

Hey you've got to hide your gay away
Hey you've got to hide your gay away
