You Walk On Poem by Valerie Colangelo

You Walk On

Rating: 4.5

Can you hear me? You walk into
The moon-lit night, passing through
The foggy street as I lay here
Gasping for breath, choking
On the words I have always needed
To say. I'm screaming your name,
But you just walk past me - you
Don't see me. How can't you see
Me? I'm right here. I'm bleeding
Out my love for you. I don't have
The time, there was never enough
Time. You wanted all of me,
And I tried so hard to give myself
To you, all for you, only for you.
But here you are now, walking away
From my pleading hands,
My shattered heart, my crying soul.
Can't you hear me? I'm screaming
Out your name, but you fade
Into the darkness now, leaving me
Alone in this moon-lit street.

Wow. So much heartbreak and passion filled emotion! Leah used the correct term when she said a haunting poem. Can feel your frustration and desperation to be seen and heard. Well done!

'You wanted all of me, And I tried so hard to give myself To you, all for you, only for you.' - These are beautiful lines, but the the end is so sad! ' I'm screaming Out your name, but you fade Into the darkness now, leaving me Alone in this moon-lit street.' - Touched me!
