You Were The Spark Inspiring

Rating: 5.0

never forget you were the spark
that lit the fire the light in the darkness
the light in darkness that showed the way
stories told around fire warm the night

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Elena Sandu 26 April 2016

Your poems my friend are like meditation workshops, the reader can be carried by a beautiful wind with your words. I think I read too little of you but all that I did, shown a masteful pen able to squeeze the essence of life, showing the connection of love. To have poems dedicated to me by such a wonderful pen like yours is a great honor, I am so overwhelmed that I don't even know how to thank properly: Hearfelt thanks, Elena

I wrote the poems 'Dedications An Acknowledgement Of Sources Inspiration', 'Dedications Symphonies Of Meaning' and 'A Stick In Throat Poem', inspired by my reply to a comment made on my poem 'You Were The Spark', by the poet Elena Sandu and dedicated to Elena Sandu.

Dedications are an acknowledgement of sources of inspiration and the beauty of a written appreciation. The chance to occasionally interact with another poet read and declare that their work was appreciated with contemplated ripples of meaning. Not all my poems are written with beauty, some especially early poems were written to address unpleasant tragic themes, and occasionally the cadence was written to stick in the throat, because respect for the topic demanded raw awkward uncomfortable rhythms to stick in the mind and the conscience of the heart. But writing with beauty and pleasure is also the affirmation of hope for a better world. Warmest Regards your friend, Terence
