You Will Be Wiser Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

You Will Be Wiser

One who obtains wisdom loves himself or herself,
So listen to my advice and accept my instructions;
For in the latter days you will be wiser.
Ice-cream for the summer and hot coffee for the winter,
Everyone is a friend of him or her who gives out gifts;
But the writer will always write out his or her mind.
McLeish is my friend and Kamal is your firend,
But Luri and Hyske came to the party as well;
And you will be wiser when you hid to my advice,
For Rome was not built in a day.
