Young Lady Poem by Ibn Ali

Young Lady

Rating: 3.5

Young lady
I see youthfulness has glossed you with its haze
And you stand in the mirror fully amazed
Impressed
You swagger right and left
Pout
Feeling that you're there or there abouts
Young lady
You're playing with a fox
He promises you love
He sees you as a duck to be devoured
You sell your love for his like
What an extortionate price
Are you even surprised at how fast he buys
He seduces you with lies
Coveting his prize
He wants to consume
All the goodness inside of you
Take the marrow from your bones
The glint behind your eye
The aura to your soul
Young lady pick a man of substance and be wise
