'Your Body' Poem by Quenten McClellan

'Your Body'

Close your weary eyes
As the night sets in our
Loving tenderness.

Let your body stay still
And absorb me
As my chin slowly
Is cast down your hills
And to the cavern you hold underneath

Your skin shakes
And the softness of your voice
Echoes in my ear
When you cry you lullabies

You moan to the heavens
And my heart beats
To the love I will hold for you
Forever more.
