Your Hand Poem by Tyra Falconwing

Your Hand

I'm stuck on the ground
I can’t stand up by myself
I think I need a hand

The waves have pulled me under
I can’t get to the surface by myself
I think I need a hand

Sometimes the heart is cold
We need someone hold
We need the sun to restore our light
To keep us feeling right

Sometimes we slip
Sometimes we fall
But we got to get up
We got to stand tall

Now I know I’m not alone
Thank you for the love you’ve shown
You’ve made my life worth it

You never left me
Sitting there
I can always count you

And now I never worry
When I stumble here and there
Because I know I can count on your hand
To help me up again

And now I don’t need worry
When I slip and fall
Because you will take my hand
And stand me up tall
