The years may dim the image of you within my mind
But I will hear your laughter and think of you in kind
Your name will echo in the wind,
Your eyes will shine thru night,
Above my thoughts and through my tears
For love that wasn't right

Time has taken you away and time won't bring you back
But dreams of you I'll aways have, your memories I'll never lack
There was no choice to leave you
It just wasn't meant to be
But forever I will love you
You'll always be with me

The years do pass and life goes on, but in my heart you'll stay
With fondness I still think of you, remembering each day
And so I'll pack my heart away
I'll lock it deep inside
For no one has the key to it
Since your love passed me by
