Your Memories Poem by Fatma Maleta

Your Memories

your memories
they hurt
they piece so bad
I pray I won't ever have to say goodbye again
cause I'm not strong and I can't withstand the pain

we were like a burning candle,
that emits a flame,
so dangerous,
so strong you can't blow off
we were like the mountain
so alive yet mighty,
together we were one in a million
nothing could touch us,

I know it's too late,
but I wanted you to know that
I'm left with your memories

we were like the snow that fell all around,
so joyful so full of dreams
but now no matter how hard I scream
I can't hear a sound.

I want you back
I want us to smile like we used to,
run all around
but I'm here all alone
not a sound you can't be found
I want us to be like we used too
like crazy I search all around
but your no where to be found.

I want to smile again,
I want to forget the pain
I try, I lie to myself I can
I can
it's hard I want it to snow
so we can play once again
but your just a memory
a wonderful sad memory

I want to hear you speak
to see you, so I can smile but you took away that smile
like snow I want it to fall on me
and wipe away this lonely tears,
and all these painful memories
but I know it's all I have left
memories within my heart
this is what I wanted you to have known
