Your Pain Is My Sorrow Poem by Chad Shumate

Your Pain Is My Sorrow

Your pain is my sorrow,
It's like the world is ending and there is no tomorrow.

The reflection of your voice in disappointment or hurt,
It sounds like the bells and whistles of an Amber Alert.

Each tear you shed,
Represents a scar of mine that has bled.

Your pain is my sorrow

You are wheels on my car with a flat tire,
To keep going on I just don't have the desire.

This ride of disaster, I just want to get off,
Your sadness is the gas pedal, please let off.

You are fueling the fire that is torturing me,
I'm the ashes, I'm the soot, and I'm the charred debris.

Your pain is my sorrow!
