Your Personal Boulder Poem by Ryan David Ginsberg

Your Personal Boulder

Rating: 4.0

You walk into the room and it's like my pain is instantly gone
When I was feeling so weak, you came and made me strong
When I thought I had lost all hope
You came to take away the rope
To empty my gun and throw the bullets away
You sweep me away with everything you say
My day is better with just the sight of your silhouette
Call me Romeo and I will call you Juliet
I would trade away a hundred years
To be with you in your biggest fears
To dry away your wettest tears
To clean you up after you've had too many beers
I will take you at your worst and at your best
Because any moment with you leaves me so blessed
So take your burdens and throw them over to me
Your rock is what I want to be
You've got me going crazy
Got me picking off petals of a daisy
Like, "she loves me, she loves me not"
Just hoping that I can land on "she loves me a lot"
I will always treat you well, like the Lord tells
Because, like Him, my love never fails
Let me be your base, your foundation
If you have any problems come to me with no hesitation
When you feel the tears falling know I always have an open shoulder
Lean on me, your personal boulder
And when I feel down, can you promise me something?
You'll stay by my side and won't go a running?
Because I will stumble and I'll have those days
I know, though, that you'll be that one girl who stays
For we will have problems, but we will make it through
Through it all I will never stop loving you
Two separate bodies bonding into one soul
Finally making us two whole
So lean on me when you can't move on
And I will always carry you along
