Your Remains Poem by Chaarzarul Rockett

Your Remains

Wake up and smell the roses
growing round your grave.
Don't be surprised when you see them dying
There's nothing left for you to save.

And, I will be the one that carries on
and, I will be the one who remains.

It's like thunder and lightning.
It's like sunshine and rain.
It's like fire and ice, baby.
It's all pleasure and pain.

Baby, now that the scars
have healed and subsided
do you give your ear
to the tongues you confided?

And, I will be the one that carries on,
and I will be the one who remains.

Lay down, lay down
don't fight broken-hearted.
Let the ones who are strong
finish what was started.

It's like thunder and lightning.
It's like sunshine and rain.
It's like fire and ice, baby.
It's all pleasure and pain.
