Your Responsibility

You are responsible
For the longing
To meet someone like you
A few years ago

You are responsible
For the butterflies in my stomach
When I first met you
A few months ago

You are responsible
For the sleepless nights
When you didn't talk to me
A few weeks ago

You are responsible
For the happiness you gave me
When you proposed
A few days ago

You are responsible
For those endless texts
Which you sent me
A few hours ago

You are responsible
For the long call
I just hung up
A few minutes ago

Even now you are responsible
For the smile
That your text got me
A few seconds ago

Yes you will be responsible
For my loving you
Till I exist

And how sleep seems a goodly thing
