Your Smile
I saw you in a darkened hallway
with sadness in your eyes
Suddenly, the hallway morphed into twilight
as a star dropped from the sky
Dissonantly, the hallway lead into darkness
How could I follow
Follow you beyond the walls
To a dungeon far bellow
Your smile, had awakened all I am
Your smile, destroyed the pain within
Where do I turn
now that your smile is gone
Your smile
A chill enveloped my senses
A fever captured my being
All I saw were black and white
from your graying eyes' revealing
I reached out for your hand
You looked back with one last tear
Then fell into a blackened mist
As I watched you slowly disappear
Your smile, had awakened all I am
Your smile, destroyed the pain within
Where do I turn
now that your smile is gone
Your smile
