Your Spirit Dying Poem by Paul Reason

Your Spirit Dying

That moment of hesitation
That feeling of desperation
You feel weak in this field
Because of you skills degradation

You've done this a million times
But that feels like a million years ago
You were an expert at this skill
But that was a long time ago

You want to try again
You've done it before
But doubt is in you mind
And behind it is a door

A door where that skill was and always will be
All you have to do is open it
Come on fear is overrated see
That skill is still in you and always will be

Now it is open you've taken the first step
You started again and this time around
You won't give it up
Instead you will hone it and in you it will abound

See now the work you have done
Your better than ever
And you've just begun
And it will make someone happy, someone

Your story is out there
What are you writing
Is it a story of triumph
Or your spirit dying.
