Your Stern Demeanor Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Your Stern Demeanor

Your Stern Demeanor

What bothered me so much,
Was your stern demeanor.
It bothered me such,
That I wanted to let you go.

I couldn't be with a man so serious,
A man with lips pursed tight.
Oh what a horrible plight,
To go through life like that.

What bothered me so much,
Was your stern demeanor,
Till a tender child came along,
And made you smile a mile long.
