Your the Only Fear I Have
By: Taylor Donnelly

I'm not cold but my teeth are chattering
I'm lost I'm so lost here without you
I'll put my pen to paper say whats long over due
do the only thing i know how
try to take the tension from your brow
with my eyes to the skies
in the end i know its all lies
because its you, your the only proof
yet you stay aloof

your dripping with it(love)
you swear its only for me
but i wonder how selfish i can be
if i trap you here
of only you i fear
can i look in the mirror
can i look at my own face

i know my tears will fall like the fabric from my body
i know my heart seems put back together so shoddy
but what can i say
my edges are all torn to fray
it started a long time ago
when the wind began to blow
swept the hair from my face
as the pieces they all fall into place
it was like the cradle of your body
a ghost of my own making laughing at me bawdy
a faded memory torn
left to morn

we own nothing and keep very little
nothing but these memories kept victual
hungry and tired my teeth are chattering
your words were always so flattering

your dripping with love
you swear its only for me
but i wonder how selfish i can be
