Your Valentine (2007) Poem by David Joel Rodriguez

Your Valentine (2007)

Rating: 3.5

Another Valentine's Day
another day with thoughts,
of killing you...what can I say
I'd love to get rid of you
you played me yearly to this day
took me this long to plan what to do...

As bad as a melted box of chocolates
I'll be removing yours tossing it in a fire
this poem, if it's even one, is not a threat
nor metaphor, but a vision causing dire.

I regret the day we were mistakenly acquainted
Now I must dispose of your selfish remains
'They' saw you gracious, I saw disgrace, tainted
No more will I allow you to play others with your games.
