Your Whisper

Your Whisper

You are the whisper in the wind
That speaks to my soul
In my deception and ignorance
Mighty is you

We are of different nature, not equal
I am just but blood, bone and flesh
You are concealed from sight
I am just an empty vessel constantly filled by you
Oh how you are of might

I walked in the woods and as the wind blew
The birds chirped in harmony and away they flew
I listened keenly to the wind
In it I heard the tenderness of your voice
That feels the spectrum of my soul

Oh a chime of a warm rain
Your holiness is a warm ambiance of the noonday sun
Luminate my soul and speak your meekness
For in the sinking sun you are the aura that fills the scene

So in your majesty, I realised I am a tiny creature
I cannot match your measure and my happiness is your treasure
So when I cry give me your arm and add to pain some balm
In your whisper

In my pain keep me always in your arms
Thine word is a balm to my pain
God take me close in your lap
When the world turns against me in slaps
Your whisper gives me a squeeze tight
To brighten my world with delight

I sometimes feel gloomy and blue
The love in your whisper is enough and ever true
God help me please and show me today
The right path on which to walk and stay
And whisper your love into my ears
For that's what I feel i really deserve

I love you God, I love you my Lord
Surely your whisper vanquished my pain
And replenished my fading hope
Your whisper is sharper and louder than a whistle
I shall listen only to your whisper...

Poem of the Day

poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti

Young Love lies sleeping
In May-time of the year,
Among the lilies,
Lapped in the tender light:
White lambs come grazing,
White doves come building there:
