i dreamed of you
i was dreaming your words on my body
pleasant, yet painful
they mingled with the chants
that the wind blew over from the arena
and which crawled in through the blinds
your words
my body
and the waters of the Adige diluted them
rolling towards the sea
you were with me all that day
walking those sweltering marble streets
in the evening, under the shower
i lost the last lines
and fragments of letters
an R, an M i believe, and maybe a J
