Zooming Through The Freeway Poem by Je'free Y .

Zooming Through The Freeway

Like atoms in heated water,
Flowing the long pipe of high-speed traffic,
Matchboxes that contain us race on a rush hour
Peaking before the early moon over the interstate.

Inhaling the vaporous waste material exhausted
By engines converting energy into motion,
I take part of the mechanical forces circulating,
Where the reckless and defensive encounter.

There is an energy triggering sense of awareness
Through this asphalt stretch of wild odyssey,
As different velocities dart around me,
And fatal danger lies in one incautious move.

To be safe at a destination is arrival at paradise,
Surpassing the systemic hazards of the roads.
Then, tomorrow welcomes caffeine-loaded
Motorists who just want to make it through.
