Mother And Child - Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Mother and child

Sun in full shined and dined the branch and apple
Red, golden
Leaves green; their veins, bones stole the attention
Thief of eye
No one saw deep inside there was dark brown cave
And the life
“Mom; you raised me, though charming in a world
I am bound
Limited, I can’t like.” said the baby worm and cried.

“Then listen, you are right. There is world very large
It is bright
There are mountains, there are oceans but are so cruel
The walkers on two feet are blinds. They roam and fly
Among them are machines, technically very advanced.
Armed they are to the mouth. Fight on land even moon.
Their culture, is copied by the world, Rocks and Rolls
Asking them of culture outside cave; their map of USA
Even they, those advanced in this world, best informed
The reply when honest, “Hell ignore world, live in cave.”

In this way the mother was honest:
“I copy, don’t invent; have no brain.”
