    Together They Howled

My mother was a teenage werewolf
and my father a wise vampire.
They met in a medieval graveyard
in the shadow of the church’s spire.

They married on the eve of Halloween
in the light of a bright full moon.
Together they sang a haunting melody,
    which became their howling tune.

Screeching bats blocked out the moonlight
    as werewolves and vampires danced.
Throughout the night the creatures howled
as my mother and father romanced.

I became the first product of their union
and I’m a changeable type of man,
but I do have my problems
just knowing what I am. read more »

    Crying Wolf Inside

With a cry, with a whimper, she lets out a sigh.
Her spirit, her joy, her love gone dry.
    An elevated head held high,
Drop goes a tear, she insists she’s fine, but it’s only a lie. read more »

    Silent

In the night I hear my wolf howling, In sheer happiness of freedom,
    Lost in the pleasures of the soul-mate's song;
Or in the agonies of hardship,
A mind forever icy, trapped within the insanity of a cruel calm.
I know not which gives reason to my wolf's ghost cry, read more »

    The Raging Storm

Winds howled, while rain drummed on the roof, so loud,
The thin walls squeaked, as heard from shack within,
The flimsy roof, might as well be a shroud,
Of stick and grass, that now has spread so thin. read more »

    Mad Mad Moonlight

There was this moon and it stood over me, lurking and glinting in deception.
Standing alone I stared at its evil grin and began to ponder its powers.
I cowered a bit at the thought of its silver rays penetrating my skin.
Moons can pull oceans, ripping rising tides and ground lost ships in sand. read more »

    The creature of night

The creature of night - is howling...
It is as black as a brand, as a coal,
As a piece of pitch, as a spoon of cosmos,
Of the eternity, rather-, super- cold... read more »
