    Concepts 19

When the tongue is silenced by imposing fear
When the hands are tied by coercion and penury
Words that come from depths of heart through the eyes
Speak volumes and volumes if one can understand

Bubbling with honey a beehive attract the grabbers
Never realized is the toil and hard work of the bees
Mercilessly killed or driven out are the poor bees
Efforts of lame encroached effortlessly for enjoyment of others

Mind is a prison where attachments are iron chains
Not an easy task to break the shackles of that sentiments
Unknown affections blind the mind in ignoring the wisdom
Illusion drags always into its fold from fleeing its clutches

Stings of one hundred scorpions put together
Scores of hissing cobras spitting venom
Walking barefoot on scorching desert sands
Lesser painful than undergoing the ‘dreaded poverty’

Living a life that ought not to be
Sporting a smile that ought not to be
Concealing the tears that ought not to be
Lessons we learn from ‘dreaded poverty’ read more »
