I remember the hymn of your heartbeat
as a lullaby your soul sang to me.

seditious courage for lust
emerges from the abyss.

The Unborn Girl Child

I remember the hymn of your heartbeat
as a lullaby your soul sang to me.
Inside the will of nourishing life,
out of love, I was made to be.

I have seen the colors vibrant everywhere
in your reflections as you danced.
In a magical world I was cherished
and I smiled at your serene glance.

I knew the sound of the rain
as it chanted on our roof.
I saw people smiling back at me.
Completeness never asked for a proof.

Why this dream of mine was halted
when my destiny was still not sketched.
How could you decide not to have me?
It was your own blood that I bled.

I don't blame you for letting me go.
I did see your tears on those gruesome nights.
But I know you would just be through me soon.
As you would never know how I looked like.
