My Truth

Eyes heavy and droopy
yet i stare into the darkness
years of sleepless nights
yet i stay awake into the night
its been many 10yrs
since i have dreamed
since i have closed my eyes

half of which i spent forgetting
half of which i spent recollecting
but invain, i still lie awake
for it seem like it never existed
My memory blank
like nothing ever happened

all i know
the story someone tells me
someone within me
to realize someones inside me
confuses me, frightens me
but yet soothing
in a stranger manner

Feeling of selfcontradiction
seeming more familiar
numerous attempts to reason
increasingly more ammusing
loneliness, confusion
becoming familiar faces

The black figure more vivid
day after day
never leaving my side
attempts i make to speak to it
fruitless, for all it does is
stare right back

When i tell others of this
i was laughed at
was called insane
but i sat smilin
for they wont understand
they are too naive

And after all this i laughed
for this is to drive me insane
but now, after all these years
i find a strange pleasure
in all thats happened
or may be I am insane
and it has become
my reality
my truth
