Each new day, I thank and praise the Lord
for my "Melody of Verse."
You see, it is a part of "special preparation"
for me to leave this sinful earth.
He can count on me—to do my faithful part
To lift a tired and weary soul, and cheer a lonely heart. The Holy Spirit is always eager—to rescue fallen man,
To plant his feet on solid ground—
and encourage him to follow God's plan.
When my load gets heavy and my table tips,
I can depend on God's grace to quicken my spirit
and tighten up my grip. Please say a little prayer for my memory—
and my Melody of Verse.
May each of us be ready—when it's time to leave
this wicked earth.
We can tell by the many prophetic signs—
That it certainly won't be long;
King Jesus will soon be coming—to
take His obedient children home.
