Punit Parikh Poems

Millions of times he confessed
Of his love eternal and pure.
Eloquent words,
Promises made by the stars
...

Miles and miles of anonymity,
Waiting to greet you.
Far behind left is the city,
Which you really knew.
...

Standing just around the corner,
Flashing his intoxicating smile.
Or, lost in the crowds,
Cheering for his superheroes,
...

If I could ever see tomorrow
And tell you about our future
You would be the moon of my life
And we would share a place amongst stars
...

Hey wait,
Please don't delet me,
Look I have a name too,
An identity that reads,
...

Did i hear someone shriek,
that, 'it's all over...over! '
that sweet leather smell,
those early drops of dew,
...

A versatile packet of love embedded,
in a diskette three and a half inches wide.
A freeware with all glossaries laminated,
just unzip and all fears shall hide!
...

Not impressed much by my words,
Someone just remarked,
'What's the need for pain?
Why can't a poetry be full of joy.'
...

Their vibrant emotions on screen
A hero the legend of his times,
A scornful villain who shall lick dust
Their passions often leave you gasping
...

Most of the steps,
Just turn back.
Breathing a sigh of relief
And forgetting its existence
...

Somewhere above us there is heaven,
And sometimes angels from above visit us.

I was a blessed soul, I guess,
...

Streching imaginations,
Seeking to touch infinity.
Beyond all horizons,
In the heart of the city.
...

There was a faint whisper,
Just few paces behind him.
He struggled through the ruins,
a few paces towards the sound.
...

Those were the special days,
As a young lad I still remember
Sitting in corner, eyes stuck up on you
Watching everything you do

Bonds On Paper

Millions of times he confessed
Of his love eternal and pure.
Eloquent words,
Promises made by the stars
But trust leaked and love ended
People called it a divorce
A paper with two signatures
And years of loneliness’

There was a council of men
Dignity clad in suits and ties,
They talked,
About disarmament and peace
Deciding the fate of countries.
A summit and a treaty signed
A piece of paper inscribing peace,
Yet firing continues at enemy lines.

People often talk about love
They proclaim about,
Peace and wisdom too
But these are just fragments
Of broken words tied to a paper
Future, fate, love and laughter
All merge into one,
Bonds signed on a paper.
