Charlayne Hunter-Gault (b. 1942), African American journalist. As quoted in I Dream a World, by Brian Lanker (1989). In 1961, Hunter-Gault (then Hunter) had been one of two African American students to integrate the University of Georgia. She went on to become a journalist and television news correspondent, covering, among other issues, apartheid in South Africa.
