We fight for water
We sometimes fight for things
We even deem not our own.

Is human life a chance
To cut and polish
The rough diamond of our soul
So that it sparkles and shines
...

Did you miss the bus to the star.
That could have taken you very, very far?
Do you still live like an oyster with a precious pearl
Deep in the sea, unseen and unfurled ?
...

Life is a steeplechase
And therein lies its vibrancy
To run, to chase, to outstretch and reach
Our goals and our dreams.

We are grieving for having lost a good old faithful friend
Who for us was a beacon resting upon a tower of strength
Though he was always besides us with a warm and radiant smile
Now he has sailed away into the beyond where the distance can no longer be measured in kilometers or mile.

The earth is parched
with her thirsty tongue sticking out
but the wind of change
has summoned at the far horizons
...

The train
Rumbled on unfamiliar terrains
And I
A passenger
...

It is the day when the young hearts beat faster
In happy anticipation the mind too remains eager
It is the day when one may lavish gifts or offer a simple flower
For when you have presented your heart can anything be dearer?

Had I been born a Buddhist
My perception of religion would have been different
Had I been born an American
My perception of world polity would have been different
