Biography of Randy Sabados
Randy Sabados Poems
How does one speak about the game of golf? A game of so many emotions, both highs and lows. It can be as sweet and passionate as your lover on a warm summer night ~ your swing is flowing smooth and easy and the ball is rolling the greens pure and true. It can feel as if you're destined to endless torture ~ your heart being slowly ripped out, piece by piece when you struggle, hole by hole. You can experience nature's beauty as your mind and soul wander between shots. A friendship can be forged for a lifetime as you talk, laugh and joke with others while sharing this crazy bond with a ball and clubs. Sportsmanship is exemplified at a level above other sports ~ where self honesty still shines and gives the game dignity. It is said that you can tell much about one's character by watching how they carry themselves throughout eighteen holes ~ because golf is so much like life ~ full of adversity and 'rub of the greens'. No matter how bad your round was, you keep coming back to give it another go ~ the same way you pick yourself up off of the floor when life's random hurts come your way. And Why?
Rainbows On The Horizon
The rains come hard and slow. Rains of hurt and pain, suffering and sorrow..... but look beyond today.....to tomorrow. Have faith.....rainbows are on the horizon.
If My Dog Could Talk
If my dog could talk to me, I'd have so many questions to ask. Why can't man's life be as simple as yours? No worries, just sleep and play and quiet walks through the trees and fields. Chasing balls and squirrels every day. Smelling whatever you can get your nose on. Fetching sticks thrown with laughter, to the deepest part of the pond. Digging holes, trying to catch that little varmint and staring in vain with eyes of hope at whatever it is you see up in that tree. Catching snowballs in your mouth and plowing nose first through the fresh snow. Running the bases with little league boys and shagging their balls hit to left field. Giving licks of love to me when I come home and to everyone else you greet. Why are you so faithful, through and through? What makes you do the things you do? You're my protector, you'll lay your life down for me and for anyone else in our family. You're man's best friend, that's for sure ~ by my side you always abide, up until the end. I couldn't ask for a more loving dog than you. You listen to my thoughts as we walk and we run and you lift me up when my spirit is down. Time goes by too fast for me but not for you. You know how to pace yourself, it's just natural. Tell me, what answers do you have? 'My friend ~ it's simple, you see! You're here to live and learn ~ me, to please and love. If you didn't experience hurt or pain, loss or sorrow, or sad days of rain, how could you appreciate the knowledge you gain by growing stronger from life's challenges and rigors?
Moonlight paints the darkened skies shades of yellow, gray, blue and white. Shadows cast upon your eyes altered through it's enigmatic light.
The Odyssey Of Life
Passing through the hallways of time, distant winds forever move the chime, opening secret doorways within your mind. Life’s mysteries you seek and hope to find.
