Rayniece D. Clayborne Poems

I watched the children at play.
Their very essence of innocence.
They began to stare.
They were aware of my pressence.
...

I got a wakeup call.
The alarm struck a cord.
The endless...realm called reality.
I dranked in your innocence.
...

The gift of life thet's taken for granted.
It all play a major effect.
I find it quite profound.
ages, stages.
...

I smile after taking my soul to you.
God I; m trying very hard.
The dawn has been answered.
The alarm has rang.
...

I watch out for people..and to know, I too am being watched over.
I'm very grateful..cause some peopl are very hateful.
Some will allow you to fall in traps.
Just as you do their biddings.
...

my mind has been under serious construction.
so many and yes much information.
I obtain, constant preparations.
I find myself thirsty.. the quest for knowledge.
...

The beautiful leaves are mingling on the ground.
The familiar sound of change is the air.
The warm rays..send the people of every walk of life outside.
Cyclist ride, walkers are strolling along.
...

The snow began to fall.
I began to roll up a ball.
The beautiful mass was like heaven.
I could feel the frozen treasure.
...

The air is very clear.
Every twist and turn...there's a lesson being learned.
Gathering stars for my crown..planting, planting, planting.
Preparing for the future task, that's at hand.
...

10.

take a good look in the mirror.
What, who do you see?
is it, him, her, they?
My mentles are at play.
...

I'm sitting here in complete awe.
I took a walk to clear my head.
I began counting my blessings.
Thanking God for all life long lessons.
...

Rather rich or poor.
We all are on borrowed time.
What will you be remembered for?
Is it love or war?
...

Freedom of speech comes to mind.
I remember sometime ago.
Somethings were a definite no-no!
We all have gotten laxed.
...

I became passionate after given the chance.
I thought I wouldn't last.
Langston awakened my awareness.
I began expressing myself.
...

15.

I'm encouraged.
I am somebody.
I'm learning, and earning.
In this land of milk and honey.
...

I choose to be grateful.
It's far more healthy.
No need to be prideful.
We all can relate.
...

17.

I need for you to make things clear.
I do see, feel, and hear.
I feel at home as if welcomed.
I get those funny feelings.. deep down.
...

18.

I can see, hear, think.
Tasting, feeling, acting..can do.
I'm waking, talking, breathing...for sure.
Ofcourse I'm winking, blinking, ...yes indeedy.
...

I allow myself the time..to evaluate, and begin again.
I'm starting to value myself worth.
Everything's taken place.. a change if you will.
Yes I'm mastering and the definite task at hand.
...

I'm very glad.. no longer feeling sad.
Yes there's nothing but..joy.
I'm very happy in my own beautiful skin.
The wheel of life is roling around!

She Is The Child

I watched the children at play.
Their very essence of innocence.
They began to stare.
They were aware of my pressence.
We see you they exclaimed.
Little giggles filled the air.
Come on out; it's ok.
One little girl walked over to me.
She extended her sweet hand.
I smiled...so did she.
I looked a little closer.
She closed her hand.
Her eyes sparkled with glee.
Wanna play in the sand?
I'm too big..Here grab my finger.
Do you like to swing and sing; my favorite two.
I know she said... I'm little you.
