By this River we knelt down and wept
Nay they on their side and us on ours; all adept
Mothers held their stiff children

dear, forth hold my heart,

only as you dearest know how,

it seems it was yesterday
i swore not to let
the shackles of love
manacle my heart again

The Music of the AK 47
Solemn and unforgiving
its dancers gyrating their hips
from here to there

I take a pen, I pick a paper
Desire in my heart
want in my soul
the clouds seem to walk with you

Tears Of Blood

By this River we knelt down and wept
Nay they on their side and us on ours; all adept
Mothers held their stiff children
Eyes glazed; tears growing
The rivers lay; between them and us
Blood, tears, all crying

On these ridges beyond the mountains
They’d drawn lines
You here, us there
And we threw spears at each other
Till lives ebbed and diminished
Blood, tears, all fighting

Between us the flowers initially blossomed
God on our sides and satan on theirs
Feeding the bees on each side with equal bloom
Now, they lay slouched in a seance
Caught between us and them
Blood, tears, all praying

I still weep with joy
The thirty three bodies we caused them
Then sadness hugs me
For the nineteen we lost to them
Blood, tears, but we won.
