The time has come again

I will never forget the day you left
It was a cold December day...
Things came undone, when you decided to run
and throw all that we had away.

I love you even though I don't know you
I feel your lips though we've never kissed
I dream of you in the darkness of night
and in my arms I hold you tight.

I want you in every way.

You see, I fell in love when I was younger

Hope

I was buried in sorrow with no hope for tomorrow
I had given up on all of my dreams.

Like a bird in a cage
I've been locked up too long
It's time for me to spread my wings
and fly away.

I was down and lonely
and I had no-place to go.
The streets became my way of life
and they were dark and cold.
...

I grew up in the midwest
where the air was fresh and clean.
Small-town living was at it's best
and life was so serene.
