Alone

Pulled in. Got out.
Walked in. Got coffee.
Man behind me got coffee, too.
Went to check out.
"Ah, she's new! She defines beauty,"
I said to myself.
I smiled. She smiled back.
Walked out. Got in.
Pulled out. Drove slowly.
Stopped by window for second view.
Almost checked out.
"Oh, he too! He behind rooked me,"
I saw for myself.
She smiled. He smiled back.
Drew close. Lips met.
They were alone.
No one else was there besides me.
Drove off. Eyes wet.
I was alone.
No one flesh was there beside me.
