Rose Marie Cook Poems
Sister, sister save my soul sister, sister don't leave me alone.
Baby girl I love you so Baby girl Please don't go
The people in my past The ones who left me alone The ones who cared not for me I forgive
We Are Free
Sunshine pours in Light shining all around Water droplets fall into The murky, dark emptiness
Screams break the silence As I cry out in pain He grasps my heart And yanks it from my chest
I Wonder When
I wonder when The shame and regret Will disappear
You said you loved me You said you cared But now you're leaving As if you were never here
When the Lights go Out
When the lights go out Fear sinks within me When the lights go out Bodies take the place of shadows
When all that's left is fear My being is corrupted I'll plead to you in silence To replace my every hope
Sweet scent pulls me closer Warm arms embrace me Soft kisses upon my lips Light fingers graze my cheek
Looking back at What I've done I have no regrets None
Your kisses leave Me breathless Your touch sends Butterflies in my chest
I smile just To hide the tears Just to distract You from all my hurt
With fights drug on And hateful words With Shrieking actions And heartless eyes
Once We Were Friends
I'm tired of being strong when everything's not right.
I'm sick of holdin' back and cryin' myself to sleep at night.
Just holdin' my head high, bitin' my tongue.
Not saying what I want to say.
Gettin' beat down; put down.
My heart's already broken; shattered to pieces.
Nothin' more they can say or do.
The damage is done, they've already won.
What's the point of joining in if you can't take it?
