Rosh Varghese Mathew

Rosh Varghese Mathew Poems

Like kites in the sky
mind craves to fly;
Into the open blue
but wings never grew.
...

When i light this cigarette
Girl, you come to my heart.
The day we first met
Of me, you became part.
...

Behold them, like pearl beads they
stick to flowers and buds that sway;
Ready to be melted away
when the sun makes it a day.
...

Guided by the sun
loved by the wind,
here I wander free
but without a glee.

Liberation

Like kites in the sky
mind craves to fly;
Into the open blue
but wings never grew.
Or like the breeze
with that lazy ease
kissing green fields
and sowing peace.
Or like the sea,
vast and free
ever the same
over sands of time.
Life is a beach
where one is destined to reach
bask in the sun
and there is time for some fun.
Many may play the game
only some stand the test of time.
many may walk with you
leave footprints but a few.
Like a little bird
live unheard
fly off to new lands
maybe die in the sands.
Tired of this life
and the inner strife,
its time to let go
the only way I know.
The soul will no more
be so tired and sore.
Spirit unchained.
Love undrained.
