But they can also be sharp edged rocks that are cold, ugly and rough.
Memories are like spring blossoms, fragranant and beautiful.
But like pointed thorns they can be pricky and hurtful.

Rest assured and don’t worry or fret

And sometimes they reveal much more than they should.
They express the unspoken need

Means so much to me
For it shall keep me warm
When together we shan't be

It seems so strange that when persons leave,
Their memory haunts us bit by bit.
It seems even stranger that we realize their worth,
Only when the hurt finally hits.
