Always

When shadows lengthen and twilight fades,
when the world comes crashing and sorrow invades.
When birds fall silent and the grass turns gray,
when the moon diminishes and the wind is at bay.
When summer recedes and winter greets
when stormy weather allows no retreat.
When volcanoes stir and pour forth their grief,
when oceans roar and drown out your speech.
When madness stirs in the hearts of men,
when angels fall and banshee's weep.
When the phoenix pours out its tears,
when cupid stirs and whisks away your fears.
When flowers awaken to greet dear spring,
when butterfly's shed their old moth skin.
When friends walk together on a cobblestone street
when musicians arrive with their rhythm and their beat
When you lie sleeping without a hint of a care,
Remember my love, I will always be there.
