1.

In a corner of the balcony,
Chin resting on my knees,
Arms tied around my legs,
My eyes endlessly staring at the moon.
...

I am lost in a world,
A world that doesn't exist.
I tried coming back to reality,
But I couldn't resist.

Fear

In a corner of the balcony,
Chin resting on my knees,
Arms tied around my legs,
My eyes endlessly staring at the moon.

Wondering how life would be in a year,
Asking myself, will these people stay,
When each has their own priorities,
They'll drift apart and I'll be all alone, I fear.

As the clock struck midnight,
Startled by a knock at the door,
I wake up from my deep thought,
Opening the door to be awestruck.

Looking at my friends,
With candles and the cake,
Plenty of reasons to celebrate,
I had a memorable day then.

Now each gone in their own paths,
I wish all of them stayed in my life,
Now gone, and are never back,
I'm left all alone, as I feared.

Silence all around me,
But I scream within,
Feeling so hollow,
Sunk in my deep thoughts.

Even after years,
These memories still haunt me,
As I huddle in the corner of the balcony.

You write wonderfully better than many of our established poets on this site. Please keep reading poems across the poets so that you have the inspirations and themes you would often need to tread upon. Subhas
