Remember The Time

I close my eyes as I remember
You and I sitting outside on our bench
Where we would talk and have a good laugh
Nothing but smiles on our faces which seemed never ending,
Yet reality took its place and showed us the numerous difficulties
That we would have to face, I knew this would occur
I just didn’t expect you to back down so easily
Even though we were both young, I thought we were infinite
Thinking you would have fought for our love, I would have but you wouldn’t allow me
As I open my eyes tear drops appear and roll slowly down my cheeks.
