Samuel Johnson Poems

deep within a dream
she still creeps into me
red dress and sunglasses hide
those eyes that I hope to find
...

i saw you through a window pane
you had a river of blonde hair
and a beautiful smile
i watched you laugh with joy

Dreams

deep within a dream
she still creeps into me
red dress and sunglasses hide
those eyes that I hope to find

A dozen black roses on a pirate's tomb
we mourn and greave and sing him a tune
a ballad for the scurvy soul
but I would steal these roses to give to you

a Paris cafe with young artists there
I catch her eyes and stop to stare
how did she ever follow me here
my dreams convince me that I still care

every night I wait for her to land
I fall asleep with ring in hand
deep, still, within a dream
she'll have the wedding planned
