A Love So True

Before the worlds’s clock started
An angel came to me
He said God’s made a purpose
And soon His plan you’ll see

I’d always lived in God’s great love
With all others we’d been as one
Infinity had no changes
No new plan had yet begun

But His holy love did bind us all
Which made us have no doubt
For whatever He was planning
Would be made with just His shout

So the universe He created
The stars, the sun, the earth
A green world full of living things
Where life would first know birth

Then He set it all in motion
The clock would now take measure
And within each passing second
His creation brought Him pleasure

From the dust He formed a figure
For each life to live within
To experience life as all alone
From birth they'd first begin

As each alone into this world
Flesh of flesh and bone of bone
For the first time feeling separate
Not till now, they felt alone

But the master had a purpose
Each had the choice to make
Some went through life in their own way
And others, God’s path to take

For the few who chose to follow
And trust Him at His word
The plan that He made for them
From His voice in which they heard

And when my time had finally come
To walk upon His earth
He showed me how He valued me
How immeasurable my worth

But even as I followed Him
I remembered all love as one
I felt so deeply empty
When will this pain be done?

And one day as I journeyed on
God smiled because He knew
The greatest gift He’d give to me
A new life, love, so true

He lead my path in front of you
And said “Look, there he is”
My eyes filled up with many tears
My joy! The praise is His!

He bound our love together
As only He can do
He painted every detail
With red and green and blue

Our love grew ever stronger
Each and every day
The holy bind that joins our hearts
Could never pass away

Sometimes, I felt so awfully weak
Your love was there, so pure
You held me in your warm embrace
And made me feel secure

And I could clearly realize
This gift from up above
A truth that’s never ending
Two lives so full of love

And when I passed beyond this life
Your love I’d found was with me
We knew no more of loneliness
As one we’d always be

So the angel came back to me
And said “So, can’t you see?
The plan for His creation
Was to set your spirit free'

'He let you know what life was like
By yourself and all alone
And see just how His loving heart
Through life His purpose shown'

'No greater gift can He give to man
Then to bind two loves as one
And His greatest gift to all mankind
Is man binding with His son'

And in His awesome wisdom
His final plan shall be
A love that binds us all as one
Through all eternity
