Oh, I wish this world could see your smile!
You could warm up this universe with just your smile
The mischeif and joy is so contagious
It's innoncence is merely outrageous

I look around desperately for a sign,
or for anything that I knew as mine.
The stranger in the mirror grows more and more disconcerting,
being disjointed with the person I am leaves me grovelling.

Now that the distance between us is vast,
an intricate web time can cast.
There is a limit for sweet nothings to last
warm embraces and tender kisses are all in the past.

What do you do when someone's pain cuts through your heart?
Does it matter if that someone is miles apart?
Do you silently watch the life slowly fade from their being,
or do you try and fix the havoc your terrifed eyes are seeing?
...

I had a dream, a beautiful one too
I was sitting at a shore next to you
The sun tired of his days work was begining to retire
Birds rehearsed their songs like a choir

Let the skies groan today
as lightning gives them a lashing
let the winds moan today
as the swells come down crashing
...

As i ley awake staring at the ceiling
I let my strength down to the floor kneeling
As i turn around and feel the empty space
I let my mind boundlessly race
...

Remember when you scooped me up and spun me around
I didn't tell you but since then my feet haven't touched the ground.
Remember when you sang to me while the sun was sinking
I didn't tell you but since then my eyes haven't stopped twinkling.

Days of warmth didn't last that long
left me mulling again what i did wrong
Rotten ruins are all that's left of everything that gleamed
Painful aches erodes all that our reality once seemed

I lock you away from the glare of the sun.
I lock you away from the battering of the rain.
I lock you away out of neither pleasure nor despise.
I lock you away not to hasten faith’s demise.
