Santiago Davalos Poems

They fall with such grace
There is a certain immunity to them
They are proud beings and
Resentful for any one against them.
...

The night shows the power of the dark side,
The day can not fight it, nothing is real between
This climax. Rocks are moved upwards,
Birds speak their minds, mosquitoes have cameras,
...

The links that hold us together
Are forever vanished into thin space
No one can conclude what was real
And what was not, only time will show
...

The ravishing look,
The expensive dress,
The nice shoes,
No more of this,
...

The rotten crowd,
The power of people,
The crude politics,
The screwed system,
...

The silent whistle of the air
And the strong hum of the morning,
They make the day as never before.
Cutting in half by the end of the day,
...

Make them stop
Those sounds penetrate
The very being of
My lies. There is nothing
...

The Leaf

They fall with such grace
There is a certain immunity to them
They are proud beings and
Resentful for any one against them.
Their confinement make them special,
There is nothing to it, only
Green texture and beauty.
They bring joy to the world and
Make things seem...clearer.
Nevertheless there is a darker side to it,
A side that develops hatred and jealousy,
wrath of destruction and sheer power,
Yet this is the inferior part of them,
They don't understand the difference
But feel it, they would conquer the world
If it were no higher power,
They would annihilate every single living creature
But thankfully it is just fiction.
