Satarupa Rudrapal Poems

A wordless song is in my eyes
I have still to go a thousand miles
A ripple of delight fills my life
Come Sweetheart, come, sit by my side
...

I will wait for sunset, yes sunset,
for it is then that
all creatures return home to their beloved,
and i too will return to the welcoming
...

Oh Night, do not lull me into sleep
Over the miles, far away my love waits for me
Sleep is afraid to dropp on his tired eyelids
So alert is his vigil for me
...

I see the moon
A crystal ball with magical powers
It has the magic to transform me, transmit me to the time when
I was with my love
...

Why do memories linger?
Why do you?
What is it that binds me to you?
Spreads its web of magic,
...

The sun is hot, scorching
Burning my skin, burning me
Yet I do not feel the heat,
Feel the blisters on my skin
...

I can’t sleep
The night is long, unending
My pain too fresh, too intense
To cloak it with compensations
...

I lie,
Fighting desperately
In a dirty corner of Brace Bridge
Wrapped in rags
...

It’s really strange, strange indeed.
That nothing could simply
Change my feelings.
...

There is a stillness in the breeze
The river has lost its flow
The mountains have trapped the mist
The moon has lost its glow
...

I have wandered between the lines
etched on my hand
Like a lost and weary traveler
Searched and searched
...

It’s been years since I saw you last
Endless years, endless like the sea
Years of erosion, years of wasted emotion
Years when I could only wait and see
...

I can’t sleep
The night is long, unending
My pain too fresh, too intense
To cloak it with compensations
...

I want to borrow the sun
From the sunshine
I want to borrow the rain
From the rainbow
...

I am not your first love
I didn’t taste your first
Youthful ardour,
I didn’t feel your first sweetness
...

You were his first love,
It was with you that he dreamt,
His first dreams.
But you poisoned those dreams and
...

I cursed the rain
For pouring down for hours
And flooding every corner.
I cursed the wind
...

I reach out to touch you….
An emptiness touches me back
I swim in the emptiness
An endlessness smiles at my lack
...

I never held you back
There were no expectations
And promises to bind you.
I let you move,
...

I have caught you
In my play of words
Now you will be mine
Forever.

The Best Poem Of Satarupa Rudrapal

A Wordless Song….

A wordless song is in my eyes
I have still to go a thousand miles
A ripple of delight fills my life
Come Sweetheart, come, sit by my side
The moon is shining with joyful glee
The stars are happy just to be
I can feel your heart beat next to me
I can feel your breathe tingling me
I reach out my hand to touch your face
The flowers blush with crimson grace
I lose myself slowly in your eyes
Who ever said that love was wise?
This is a night of endless grace
Come, Love, we have no time to waste
Come; touch your soul with mine
Love me Sweetheart, till the end of time
