My Dead Soul

the day you came in my life.
my heart screamed your soul arrived
we were happy, safe and sound.
but then you left but I thought we were perfect.

I cried for days which felt like years.
I felt like dying, but I was already dead.
because you left nothing in me.
you shattered my heart, my world drifted apart.

then I dig a hole very deep.
then I buried my heart way too deep
so that you won't be able to reach
and no one will see the real me.

then I build those walls.
there's a wall that keeps your thoughts away.
there's a wall that keeps my tears away.
there's a wall that keeps me emotionless.
there's a wall that plasters the smile on my face.

I smile even when thier piercing words wound me.
I keep my tears even when you're with someone else.
I walk with dignity even when there's nothing left in me.
people now call me a heartless freak.


but if you break walls you'll find a dead soul.
that'll be crying curled up in a ball.
but that soul is buried six feet deep.
and you won't be able to reach.
