For times others lived
For experiences never my own
I long for them to live again

All the distant galaxies
Are dust to most of us
Worlds upon worlds
Too large for our own dreams
...

This morning I am alone
With my own silence
And happiness
...

It is the joy and the laughter
Of the small grandchildren
That makes an old man
Understand again
...

I saw a woman supposedly still alive
With death already in her eyes
I knew her when she was
A kindly smiling human being
...

The star- rich sky tonight
I dream of a dream beyond all dreams
Nothing is real
I walk this earth as a stranger
...

Poetry goes with me wherever I go
And whatever I do
Life is poetry
In Pain also
...

I HAVE WRITTEN IT ALL

I have written it all
And it seems I have some years left
...

We arrive at a place we never expected to be
Life takes us to worlds we did not know existed
We struggle from where we are to do as best we can
We do not know how and why we get through so many things
